Dear NetTvMod,
thanks for the infos, honestly we like the PREVIOUS models thayt could work well via HDMI and SPIF with the ACTUAL TV models.
New models cannot be considerated: if the previous models are giving so much troubles, the interest for the new ones remains in the background.
Sorry but the bad feedback is "snaking" even in the shops: the sellers of TVs (in Italy some MediaWorld, Saturn, Trony TV sellers for example)
are becoming aware of this sound issues (several forums are already speaking about it) and they don't want to mess with annoying customer's complaints.
Result: they don't speak about it but they simply suggest other TV and HTS vendors

the sound hub 9000 series looks nice! (1st picture) especially like the docking for iphone! months before i have considered buying the docking station ds8550 or ds9000. the sound is just way too stunning... will consider this 9000 series for substitute ...
didnt notice the prob @Nettle mentioned: "work well via HDMI and SPIF with the ACTUAL TV models"
interested to know it more and hope someone reinforce my faith for philips
i have quite many philips products from hairdryer, juicer to blue ray player, they may not be the best out of the brands, but they worth every dollars usually

i found it interesting that Philips has turned to titanium tweeters in their speakers. I have been listening to this sort of tweeter for some time now, and I can confidently testify that it has no breaking points or fractures under stress, thus yielding a very clean and detailed sound. Titanium technology seems to be one of the best alternatives for isodynamic, planar tweeters so far, in my humble opinion.
