    How many issues??????

I've had the Fidelio A3 for a couple of months now and I'm finding more and more wrong with it. As follows:
~A squeal that can be heard in standby and playing audio quietly.
~The radio presets don't work on there own anymore (the used to). Needs to be used through the painful Airstudio App.
If I turn the unit on through the App its saying DEMO IS ON and that the MP3 link is on?????
~The streaming feature doesn't allow fast forwarding of tracks. Really bad for listening to podcasts.
~Queuing of streamed tracks can fail or be really slow.
~Internet Radio stops randomly and turns off or changes the station?

There's more faults I'm sure, but does anyone know anymore or can help with what I'm having trouble with??

    Thanks

    Dear Crisscass,

It appears that you have entered the demo mode. You can follow the instruction in the FAQ to disable so.

Thanks for your reply. I'll give that a go.
Any suggestions on the other things I've mentioned?

I have done this and it did enable the preset buttons to function again, briefly. The A3 was left off/the led light was off for a period of time. I then tried turning the unit on again by just using the power button presets on the system. I have the same DEMO IS ON problem. How can I totally disable this demo feature? I want to avoid using the App where ever possible. I am now unable to follow these steps to get out of this DEMO mode.

    Dear Crisscass,

Could you try a factory reset via AirStudio app?
    Step as below:
    1) Start AirStudio app
    2) Select the device
    3) Tab on the settings tab (the last tab)
    4) Select Factory reset
    5) Try the turn off demo mode steps as in FAQ again

As for your other comments, please see our feedback as below:

~A squeal that can be heard in standby and playing audio quietly. => This should be resolved by turning off demo mode. Would you please help comment on this after turning off so?
~The radio presets don't work on there own anymore (the used to). Needs to be used through the painful Airstudio App. =>This should be resolved by turning off demo mode. Would you please help comment on this after turning off so?

~The streaming feature doesn't allow fast forwarding of tracks. Really bad for listening to podcasts. => Noted, and will consider so
~Queuing of streamed tracks can fail or be really slow. => This should be resolved by turning off demo mode. Would you please help comment on this after turning off so?

I did the factory reset and followed the disable demo steps & it appears to have worked.
=The squeal is quieter but still there when in standby etc.
=Streaming queued tracks is still really poor (long pause between tracks and sometimes stops altogether).
=I was listening to a podcast earlier got about 40mins in on a 3hr show and the system again stopped randomly (Demo mode is not on).

The volume setting in the App is very hard to control as well. It tends to jump from one extreme to the other very quickly!

Can you also tell me why I can't register my A3? I've registered this twice and when I've checked back on my registered product its missing?

    Thanks in advance.

With regards to the squeal. I also bought a speaker with a whining noise that could be heard both in standby and when playing. A person from Philips' support told me that it was an error with the speaker, so I returned it and got a new one. I don't hear anything from the new speaker, so I would suggest you try to return it.

With regards to the AirStudio app. If your are streaming music from devices on your local network I can only recommend that you try BubbleUPnP. It's far superior to AirStudio and there is a free version with only minor limitations (such as a 16 track limitation when queuing). Try it out. With regards to the services: Radio, Spotify and Deezer I haven't found a good alternative yet so you might be stuck with AirStudio for those.
