    Thumbs up Experience thread - FW v000.064.018.000 (64.18) - for 7xx8 Series - 2013

    Hi,

    IMPORTANT: After upgrading your TV, it is necessary to perform a "cold start". This means that, after the TV is running again (after the update), shut down the TV, wait 1 minute (till all components are shut down), and unplug the TV from the mains (pull power cord) for 2 minutes before starting again.

    Changelog

    • Solution about consistent behavior of the EXIT key.
    • Homescreen adaptation for Germany. (Kabel/Antennen Fernsehen)
    • Hebrew text disabled in Now en Next + 8 days EPG. (Mainly solved for Israel market)
    • Improvement stability behavior when starting up from HDMI source.
    • Live TXT subtitles from broadcast no longer shown during playback of a recording without
    • BBC iPlayer, video and radio program is functioning again.
    • Solution about sometimes no connection to Philips Smart TV portal during virgin installation.

    Tv suddenly turns off and on again

    Hi,

    A week ago i bought the 47pfl7008. Sometimes when i watch something from a external harddisk or from an app with smart tv (uitzendinggemist or rtlgemist), the tv suddenly turns off and after some sec on again.

    What could be the problem of this?

    Muy buenas, seria conveniente que revisarían la fluidez de todo el Software de la TV, tanto los menús como la Smartv van muy muy muy lentas en comparación con la competencia...Saludos

    Hi Arrr,

    Thank you for the information.

    Did you do a cold restart of the TV after the software update?

    Do you experience this issue in SmartTV when you do not have any external devices connected?

    Does your USB HDD have it's own power supply? What are the specs for your HDD, please?

    Hi,

    I upgraded my software to QF2EU-0.64.18.0 and did a cold restart..
    Tv screen goes black after using smarttv for couple of time and trying to switch back to tv.
    Mostly youtube app..
    When screen is black it does not respond to anything on remote..red light does not blink...ambilight leds stay on..only thing that helps it removing the power cable...
    Tv is connected with internet using wifi.

    Did that, same problem.
    In my opninion it i s a firmware issue.
    Tv should always respond to remote even if app or smarttv crashes...
    So 2 firmware problems here
    1 Crashing tv when app is used for some time and switching back to tv
    2 not responding to remote when it has crashed..

    thanks for parsing it through to development...

    Today another crash.
    Daughter was watching nickolodeon for some time (+- 30 minutes) and all of a sudden tv goes black.
    Standby light goes on but tv does not respond to remote anymore..
    Only thing that helped was disconnecting the power cable...

    If i can help with any experimental or beta new firmware please let me know.
