    Can someone help me?
can i go back to older firmware? i try to find one, 1.52 or older, but didn't find it.
I try to reset the device, but it didn't reset the firmware.

think this will be somewhat the ans from Philips:

    quoted from the BDP7500 FAQ:
    http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/d...4842&faqview=1

What should I do when the player does not play the AVATAR EXTENDED disc?

Some discs in the market such as Avatar Extended contains content that demands extra loading time. Investigation reveals that the loading time can be as long as 2-6 minutes.

Disconnecting the player from the Internet can help to shorten the loading time.

but gosh 2-6 mins. who can wait for that long

    Hi,

you should mentioned your exact player model. Also you should post the bar code number printed on the back of the BD cover... This should help the BD development team...

    Ty for your help.

the exact model is : BDP7500MKll/12
    system SW : 1.53
    and the bar code of blu-ray : 3 344428 039233

Before update 1.53, i didn't have any problem. But since the update, i can't read Avatar anymore.

I will try to wait 8min, but i don't think it will work, because the timer stop at 00:00:08 with a message who said to go on http://blu-raydisc.com/forbestresults
On this website, i found a link for philips support.

Hope the next update will solve the problem shortly.

(sorry again for my bad english)

that's not just the prob of bdp7500..! other bdp experiences this prob as well..!(read from other forums in my language)
i am not sure if your disc is an extended version one. if it is so, this is normal.

my english is even poor. no worries.

The "Wait solution" was good. After 00:00:08, i wait a little time on a black screen, and then, it goes on the menu, with a little lag at begining (loading time?).

But i didn't remember i had to wait before the blu-ray start the firsts times i read it.
    this "wait time" is new.

Ty for your help, i can read it now ^^

(For information, i don't think i have the extended version, it's the version Blu-Ray+DVD)

    Hi,

I just found this forum, because I was seeking for a solution for my problem with the Blu Ray "Unstoppable", barcode ID 4 010232 052155. I'm using a BDP7500B2/12 with latest firmware (1.53), the surface of the blue ray is excellent. After inserting the disc, only the copyright notice is shown for a short time. After 7 seconds, the player jumps to chapter 2 and shows a black screen. May be, I was a little bit impatient, because I removed the disc after 30 seconds. After reading this thread, I guess I should the disc another try. I was not aware of the probleme, that loading content may take such long without any notice on the screen.

Disconnecting from the network helped. At least I was able to see the film, but the disadvantage is, that BDLive is not available now. I'm not sure what the problem is, the firmware or the Blu ray, but I hope, that Philips finds a solution.
