BDP5200/12 and 3D not playing correctly

    Well

    Here goes a fourth time!!!

    Model: BDP5200/12
    Firmware: 1.61

Some 3D discs do not play correctly on this player. Namely: Prometheus, Drive Angry, Green Hornet, Rio, Gulliver's Travels, Narnia Voyage of the Dawn Treader... They play as if the left and right fields are out of sync. Prometheus (EAN 5-039036-054478), Gulliver's Travels (EAN 8-712626-054030), Drive Angry (EAN 5-060223-764801), The Green Hornet (EAN 4-030521-724938).

I have posted this previously on various threads which I was advised to when I got no answer. I eventually received an email from Phillips back in October asking for the EAN codes of the discs which I supplied....but then nothing. Eventually the threads that have been posted are "closed" and nothing is ever done.

This has to be the worst customer service I have experienced. Obviously the goods are not "fit for purpose" under the Trade Descriptions Act and Consumer Goods Act.

    Shocking.

    Darin.

As long as you have posted in the below tread you should be fine. Philips will then know about your issue. However, as with all manufactures they try to pack as much “good stuff” as possible in all new upgrades, to benefit as many consumers as possible.

Thanks, I have now posted in this thread as you said but I have to say that this is now the fifth time I was advised to post elsewhere so I won't hold my breath! But my anger is against Philips not you MrBarton as I know you are trying to help and thanks for that

No, I know. But we are all in the same boat. If we so have discs that do not play, it is a bit annoying. I cross my fingers and I hope we will see an update very soon!
