46PFL4208T/12 and external HHD Western Digital - EFI problem

    Hi all,

I bought such a Smart TV, and I have recently bought an external HDD (Western Digital My Passport Studio 1TB - Firewire 800) that I use also for Time Machine with my Apple MacBook Pro. When I connect the HDD to the TV via USB, I only get a folder called EFI that cannot be read. Is there any way to let the TV to recognize the HDD? Notice that I wish to keep the HDD the way it is, i.e. using it for Time Machine. Thanks so much!

    Hi,

as written in the manual only FAT or NTFS file systems are supported.

I see. Are there any chance that there will be available software to recognize other formats than FAT or NTFS in future releases?
