    58pfl9956 darker left side

    Hi,

I have a 58pfl9956. great looking tv but i noticed 1 thing. When i was watching an episode of planet earth it starts with a snow landscape.

I noticed that the left side of the screens shows i little darker/greyer look. The right side is fine. It's excactly 50/50 dimension.

When i turn of the clear LCD option it switched from left to right. so whit clear LCD off the right side is a bit darker/greyer.

Is this a FW problem or more people having this problem?

once noticed its impossible to look through it

Exectly the half picture...it's possibly the lcd control. First you should update your tv to last software. If you have already the latest, use the alternative option to load again.

    Download: http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/d...&slg=en&scy=GB

    Alternative Update:
    1.Pull out the mains
2.Press and hold "ok" on RC
3.Connect the Mains (still hold "ok" for 20 seconds)

Ifa softwareupdate-screen is coming, download and install the
    latestsoftware.
    1.Download Software
2.Create folder "upgrades" at usb drive
    3.put autorun.upg into this folder
    4.Drive into tv
    5.Start update

If problem not solve...Can you take a photo?

    Hi,

Installed the latest FW "104" but i see still the darker area on the left side. It is noticeable with lighter colors. And sometimes with 3D on its like 2 different screens and not one big.

Tried to take a picture of it but it is hard to catch in on camera/photo
