    Recording in standby mode

I have the 46PFL8007 bought in December 2012 and have connected a 2TB hard disc through USB. The recording of a program while watching it works fine. However if i want to do a planned recording using the Guide it does not work. I follow the instructions in the manual and have the tv on standby and the hard disc on. The programme is registred in the list, but with the information that recording has failed due to power failure. What to do?

    Hi JesperH,

Does your HDD have it's own power supply or does it get power through the USB?

The TV USB ports combined max. output is 500mA. If the HDD requires more power than that, or other USB devices are connected, this can be the reason for the error message, if the HDD doesn't have it's own supply.

    Best regards,
    Ina
