My router has these "timeouts"
Hello,
I have a PhilipsSNB5600 router and we just secured it with a password. We keep getting this problem.... Everytime i'm talking with my friends over skype it randomly drops the call and i can see that skype try to log me in again. Kinda the same problem happens when im playing on my ps3 over PSN. I'm playing an online game, and after approx. 15 minutes, it logs me out of playstation network. it it very frustrating and i looked at some forums and tried to do what they said. So i typed "ping yahoo.com -t" into the command promt and i could see that it had a timeout getting the content once in a while... how do i fix this/can i fix this? (im not a technology pro, so please answer with "regular" words
sometimes it works if i plug in a LAN cable but usually not
To connect to my router i have a usb modem in my computer, but im pretty sure that it has nothing to do with the problem.
Please help me, it is freaking me out!
-Whenever it times out, i lose internet and a second after it back on, resulting my skype, and playstation network to log me out and i have to log in again... Manually!

Dear Zahaki12,
are you sure that your telephone company is innocent?
Seems to be something that was happening to me in the past (not with a Philips product but however a router).
In that case the line was falling randomly. I've called the telephone company and asked for a check. There were line's issues.
Their technician has solved the problem: he has re-aligned the line's parameters.
Try to verify it and let us know.
Regards

Try to explain them that the internet connection someties falls.
They can check your line's quality easily directly by their terminal.

This is interesting: at the end is not related to the line's quality.
Have you tried to bring your router to the nearest Philips Technical Center of your area and collect their opinion?
Try and let us know.

You should search for the Philips Technical Support Center (Repairs, Assistance, etc...).
In your region/province it exists for sure.
