    HDMI from PC unsharp

    Hello,

I did just an upgrade 231T1L (LED TV Monitor) to 231TE4L. The main reason was that the new version supports DVB-C, which I need for UPC. (However quite weird that you have to set the country to Sweden to get it working in the Netherlands: but this works fine now).

But next to being a TV it is also the monitor for my PC, being connected by HDMI. Currently it is however vague and not good.

With the old screen (231T1L) I had originally the same problem, but solving it was easy; you had to set the HDMI settings to "graphic", and the screen was fine! (it is also said in reviews on the Internet)
But I can not find this setting on the 231TE4L. I can find the "PC mode" setting, which helps a bit, but it is still far less than the old screen...

So can anybody help me with this?
I need to find the setting for HDMI.....

(and its not the setting of the PC: I still have the old screen next to the new one,so the same PC settings are applied to both screens, and work perferctly fine with 231T1L and not with 231TE4L; so it has to be a TV setting, unless the performance/specs of the 231TE4L are less than 231T1L

    Thanks for helping me!

    Erwin

    Unhappy

I have roughly the same problem with my 42PFL3007H/12. When I connect my PC (any of them) through the DSUB VGA port in the back the image is crystal clear. When I connect that same pc or a different one through the HDMI port the colors become really 'sharp' and off key. I've added two pictures I've taken of the screen, the virst being the VGA where you can see the IE logo being a full gradient and everything. The second one being the HDMI input with the gradient being reduced to 3 steps

I've updated to the latest firmware but it does nothing. I've tested this against 3 pc's and they all have this. (on monitors or through the VGA plug they all work perfectly) I've tried all the display models (Game, Cinema etc) but none of them does anything significant. Do you have exactly the same or is your blurryness something else?

@Benedickte: Thanks: I did call the monitor support (btw, the correct number is 09000400063)
Unfortunately I probably had more knowledge about the monitor than the support desk.

So although I insisted it has to do with a setting; they insisted on a replacing the monitor with a new one.
Today I received the new one, and of course exactly the same problem The text on full hd resolution on this monitor is still vague.

I do get the impression that this monitor simply cant do better. The only weird thing is the old one (231T1L) was good.

So please help me, if this can be fixed! But please don't refer me to the support line!

@Benedickte: Sorry to push you...but can you give me a reply?
I contacted the shop and they are willing to take the monitor back in case I find out that the monitor cant do better. But I can't wait to long with that, since I have the monitor now already for more than 3 weeks...it is already been replaced.....

    Hi Ejaf75.

Unfortunately I'm not a monitor specialist, but a TV specialist so I'm not able to help you in this case.

    Best regards,
