    Mute DS9000

Our DS9000 charges the iPhone or iPod and we can se that a tune is "playing" but no sound comes out of the machine!
The mute button is not on, and we have tried to unplug the mains cable (according to an earlier advice we found on the net) but nothing helps. Do you have any idea what more to do or is it just to send it to service? It is just a bit over a year old - and this is the first sound system that has ever failed us. I am just so disappointed, because when it works it sounds just great and it is really a beautifully looking system...

Same here, it all seems to be connected, but no sound.... I have written about 3-4 topics now about different things, but nobody cares to reply. I'm lost. And disappointed, as you.

    hi there,
so you may try resetting your phone by pressing the home button and the power button simultaneously until you see a white apple.
also please unplug the power and then plug it back on after several minutes.

if all these does not help, it can be due to a hardware failure of the device and you may have to send it to service...

I have of course tried all this for about 50 times, and it doesn't help. Philips Support won't take my speakers for repair. They say it must be returned to where I bought them, meaning to a seller who doesn't replaces them, but instead only gives a refund. I think that's bad service, because in the end they will end up at Philips, and I've read in here about others, who have had the problem fixed at Philips. I need to buy a new set, which also means they will be more expensive than the ones I have!!
