LCD picture issue. Is there any cheap way to fix?
Model# - 42 pfl7422d/37
Serial#- ya3b0736021517
This is a 2007 model LCD
The picture began acting up about two weeks ago where the colors of human skin were displayed as a kind of hot orange color off and on. It seemed like it just need to warm up a bit and then it would be perfectly fine. Two days ago the picture went really defective where all the black portions are green and pixelated. There are also many other colors that are defective as well. I wish I could attach a photo, but I can't figure out how. It appears to be permanent. I have checked all the connections to discover they are solid. I have also just recently updated the software. Can anyone share some light on this misfortune? Is it super expensive, or can I afford a repair? Thanks for contributions.

Hi,
I think for such "old" product a repair is more expensive than a new TV...
You can ask for a repair cost estimation from your local Philips support...
