    BDP3000/12 won't start up - blocked unit

    Hello,
After connecting a hdmi duplicator cable in standby (hdmi male to two hdmi female), and connecting a usb pendrive the unit won't start-up again. When I press the Power button, the unit tries to boot up but the lcd display won't lit up or output any image, or open the tray. I removed the duplicator, USB and changed cable, removed it, to no avail. I couldn't do any firmware update since the unit never booted.
The unit seems bricked. Is there any way to facory reset it? There is no disc on the tray.

    Thanks.

Not sure about hard reset on these new machines. You can try to press power button whilst unplugging the power cable. Put the power cable back, whilst pressing the power button, let power button go when connected to mains. Is a gamble, it might work, it might not. If not, contact Philips and look at repair options.

Thanks, I tried that but didn't work. Then when I press Power, the unit tries to start up but then power led goes off. I'll contact Phillips for repair.
