    Question BDP 3200/5-BDP3200/12 Firmware update

    I am running Firmware SW 1.75 on BDP 3200/5

    Latest firmware update will not install.

    Possible explanation is machine is BDP 3200/5 whilst software says BDP 3200/12

    Phillips offer two firmware downloads (3200/5 and 3200/12)

    I have tried both with no joy.

    Anyone seen this behaviour ?

    Anyone suggest a fix ?

    Hi,

    - format USB-Stick with FAT
    - extract ZIP to the USB root (including folders)

    => USB-Stick\UPG_ALL\BDP3200.bin

    BTW - the firmware number depends on the serial number of your BDP:

    - Serial Number GS1Axxxxxxxxxx oder VB1Axxxxxxxxxx: Version 1.73
    - Serial Number GS1Bxxxxxxxxxx oder GS2Axxxxxxxxxx oder VB1Bxxxxxxxxxx oder VB1Cxxxxxxxxxx: Version 2.46
    - Serial Number KXxxxxxxxxx oder SMxxxxxxxxxx: Version 1.75

    A reply that even I can understand and learn from.
    As my serial number is SMxxxx I am up to date with firmware version 1.75 and frankly am ashamed of myself for bothering the community with a silly question.
    In case you are still in the giving vein on last question.
    What is the difference between BDP 3200/5 and BDP 3200/12 ?
    I ask because the plate on the unit says BDP3200/5 but the firmware description says BDP3200/12
    I had convinced myself that was causing an update malfunction.

    Hi,

    the stroke version indicate the area in which a player is sold.

    /05 = UK (has different power plug)
    /12 = e.g. D, A, CH

    But in the end, they should contain the same software. However, the software and hardware should be the same... (/12 or /05).
