    Question BDP 3200/5-BDP3200/12 Firmware update

I am running Firmware SW 1.75 on BDP 3200/5

Latest firmware update will not install.

Possible explanation is machine is BDP 3200/5 whilst software says BDP 3200/12

Phillips offer two firmware downloads (3200/5 and 3200/12)

I have tried both with no joy.

    Anyone seen this behaviour ?

    Anyone suggest a fix ?

    Keith

    Hi,

    - format USB-Stick with FAT
    - extract ZIP to the USB root (including folders)

    => USB-Stick\UPG_ALL\BDP3200.bin

BTW - the firmware number depends on the serial number of your BDP:

    - Serial Number GS1Axxxxxxxxxx oder VB1Axxxxxxxxxx: Version 1.73
    - Serial Number GS1Bxxxxxxxxxx oder GS2Axxxxxxxxxx oder VB1Bxxxxxxxxxx oder VB1Cxxxxxxxxxx: Version 2.46
    - Serial Number KXxxxxxxxxx oder SMxxxxxxxxxx: Version 1.75

    Thanks Toengel.
A reply that even I can understand and learn from.
As my serial number is SMxxxx I am up to date with firmware version 1.75 and frankly am ashamed of myself for bothering the community with a silly question.
In case you are still in the giving vein on last question.
What is the difference between BDP 3200/5 and BDP 3200/12 ?
I ask because the plate on the unit says BDP3200/5 but the firmware description says BDP3200/12
I had convinced myself that was causing an update malfunction.
    Thanks again
    Keith

    Hi,

the stroke version indicate the area in which a player is sold.

/05 = UK (has different power plug)
    /12 = e.g. D, A, CH

But in the end, they should contain the same software. However, the software and hardware should be the same... (/12 or /05).

    Hi Toengel
As simple as that eh ? :-)
    I'm glad I asked.
I have hit the 'thank you' button and this note gives me the chance to add a personal thank you.
I have learned from this experience and am glad both for the forum and choosing Philips
