Unable to read UK Misery BD on BDP7500B2 player

Have purchased the UK edition of the great horror film Misery on blu-ray, but disc cannot be read on my BDP7500B2 player. Player makes horrible loud whirring noises, then "Unknown" is shown on the display. Same disc plays fine on a panasonic BD player. I am up to date on software updates (1.63). After around 70 BD's that I have purchased and that play fine, this is the first one that will not play(ie cannot be read).
Anyone any advice on this ??

    Regards
    RB

Hi oslouk, Do your other disks play still play fine on player, or has all disks stopped working? If it’s just one disk that’s not playing, is more than likely a software issue. However, if none of the disks are playing you have a loading hardware issue.

Thanks for reply. All my other discs play fine plus today I played another brand new disc and it was fine. It's just this one disc that plays fine on other players but not my Philips BDP7500B2; I'm annoyed because it's a good film and the BD is apparently a good transfer !

Hello Oslouk, I have exactly the same problem with "The Fifth Element" and "Salt", french edition. Big noise during 7-8 seconds, and then Unknwown Disc... Readable on another bluray player. If I switch completely off my bdp7500s2, the 2 films can be red again... Do you try this ?

Can you please provide the different discs EAN codes in below tread so Philips can release new software to your players?
