    Question 42PFL4606H - a black screen

    i bought a 42PFL4606H a couple of years back and haven't been using it for a while. but yesterday, when i decided to watch some movies, i turned on the TV, the red dot (the one indicating that the TV's off) dissappeared, sounds came on and it was clear the TV was on, but the screen was black. i'd greatly appreciate if anyone could help me out as i'm very pleased with the TV and want to fix this issue

    Hi Erik,

    Welcome to the TV forum!

    When you press the Home button on your remote, does the menu come up?

    Do you have any external devices connected to the TV?

    i've tried pressing the home button, and every other button, but the screen remains pitch black. the red dot flashes when i press it, so it's clear that the TV receives the signals.

    i have an xbox and a TV box connected to the TV. i've tried disconnecting them but nothing changes. the screen remains black

    Hi Erik,

    Try to leave the TV without power again for a few hours or over night. Also try the Home button on the back of the TV.

    If still no change, please call your local customer service for additional support.
