BlinkBox and Acetrax do not stream movies

    Hello,

    42pfl7666t/12 Smart Tv

I have tried both Blinkbox and Acetrax and have found that neither will stream movies over wifi to my tv even though the signale strength is extremely good. I am in contact with both app providers but they have not come up with a solution. BBC Iplayer and You Tube work fine.
    Can anybody please advise me?

    Many Thank,
    Nick.

    Hi Nick,

Could you please confirm the current software version installed on your TV?

And just to clarify: You are referring to the app in SmartTV, correct?

    Best regards,
    Ina

    Hello,

My TV is at version 000.014.104.000 and yes I am referring to the app in SmartTV. This thread was raised before Acetrax stopped.

    Many Thanks,
    Nictu.

    Hi Nictu,

Thank you for clairfying that for me.

Could you describe what happens when you try to play a movie in Blinkbox? Do you get any error messages, just blank screen, buffering?

    Best regards,
    Ina

    Hi Nick,

Please try to clear the internet history and reconnect to your WiFi network.

Also, please try with a wired connection and let me know if there are any changes.

    Best regards,
    Ina

    Hello Ina,

I have used "Clear App History", logged back ito blinkbox and rented a new movie but it still doesn't work over WiFi. As for using a cable, I do not have a cable to connect to my router. (the engineer took everything away) and beside I do not want cables runing al over my house as the whole point of buying a wifi enabled tv was to avoid this.
Also are you sure Net Tv is compatible with Microsoft Silverlight?

    Many Thanks for your help,

    Nick.

    Hi Nick,

Thank you for trying that out.

The cabled connection was not meant to be a permanent solution, but merely a troubleshooting option. I'm sorry that I wasn't clear about that.

The browser does not support SilverLight, but the Blinkbox app should work without any issues regardless.

I will look into this and get back to you when I have more info.

    Best regards,
    Ina
