switches automatically to usb on startup 32PFL5008

Since I connected a usb memory stick in USB1 the TV automatically switches to the memory stick on start-up . I start the TV by pressing a tv channel number or by pressing the TV button. First I see the TV channel but shortly after the TV detects the USB en switches to the USB.
How can I changes this setting? The manual is blank on this subject.

    Hi Psps,

    Welcome to the TV forum.

This is normal behaviour and deliberatedly designed this way. It is not possible to disable it.

The vast majority of consumers prefer the TV to start up on USB ports when USB sticks are inserted, as opposed to having to go through the menu system to access the source.

    Best regards,
    Ina

    I had the same problem.

Initially, I wanted to cut power to the external hard disc automatically to save power. A side effect was that the TV doesn't automatically jump any more to the external hard disc. (which was an extra bonus) When the TV is turned off, the power to the external hard disk is cut off. When the TV turns on, the power is restored.

You make one yourself (if you know electronics). Here's a non commercial link: http://hackaday.com/2011/10/12/usb-k...automatically/ There are also commercial products available.

I can't garantee it will work in your case.
