BDP3300 - Connectivity to TV and HT Question

Hi, I want to connect the BDP3300 blu-ray player to my TV through HDMI (for video playback only) and get the audio through my Home Theater System connecting the blu-ray player to HT System via Composite audio cables (red - white).

My home theater system doesn't have a HDMI IN, so I am limited to the aux in or digital optical in modes on it. My TV has an HDMI IN. I have tested out both the TV and Home Theater System with HDMI IN and Aux IN capability at the same time by connecting them to my PC. (PC connected to TV via HDMI and audio given to HT System via component audio cable).

My question is can the BDP3300 replace my pc to do the same job as I've mentioned above. (In other words can it give video output to TV via HDMI and audio output to my HT system via Component Audio cables at the same time)

    Thank You.

    Hi,

    this should work:

    - HDMI to TV (audio+video)
    - 2.0 Cinch to AVR (audio) or SPDIF (digital audio)

However, due to the image processing of the TV it could be, that the audio via 2.0 or SPDIF is "faster" than the picture on your TV.

Thank you for your quick feedback

Sometimes these devices have modes for HDMI, AV, and so on.. and when you put the device on one mode you cant access the other features. But I guess it's more to do with setting the input mode (which is not an issue in this instance).

I am hoping to use the USB mode on BDP3300 to play these files, so as long as it's capable of audio and video output over different modes at the same time - all should work fine for me.

    Hi,

    the 3300 is a 2012 model - the 34x0 is 2013...

    BDP3490: (= BDP3480 + SmartTV)
    BDP3480: (= BDP3400 + 3D)
    BDP3400
