    BDP3280 SimplyShare support?

Any chance that Philips will enable the DLNA/SimplyShare support for this player? It's kind of unfair that cheaper models like BDP2100 have this feature enabled but this more expensive BDP3280 player does not have SimpyShare...

    Hi,

2100 is a 2013 model and your 3280 is a 2011 model... even if the 2100 is cheaper, it's a newer generation. And the newer a device, the more feature are available - even in the lower series...

I know that BDP3280 is EOL but you can still buy it in some places. I bought it only a week ago. Also, BDP3280 use the same chipset (MT8560) as current 2013 Philips 3D BD players, so it shouldn't be much of a trouble for Philips to enable the DLNA in a firmware update. They did something similar a while ago for a BDP3000 player, when they released a firmware that enabled the media file playback over USB. That player was also already EOL at the time they released that firmware.

    Hi,

I'm not sure - doesn't the 3280 have a home menu item called "Browse PC" or similar?

No, it only has "YouTube" and "Picasa".
