    Can't register my philips product

    I have recently bought a philips TV with smartTV. Of course, to get all the perks of the smartTV I have to register my product into the Club Philips. I have to do this by entering my email address into my TV and then wait for the product to send an activation mail.
    This is where my troubles start, the mail is delivered to my email, but everytime I click the registration link I either get this: [?? errGenericErrorMessage ??] or this: "This is not a valid registration. Please start product registration on your device."
    I have looked into every manual and help page, but have not found the answer yet and it is driving me mad. I have even tried switching between hotmail and gmail and still nothing.

    Hi,

    I have the same problem.
    Unfortunately, i still have no explanation and solution from Philips.

    I haven't got any either solution for the other issues. It's really hopeless...

    I have similar problems with HTB9245D/12. Online registration on the web gave error messages on the page where the "aankoopgegevens" have to be entered. Net TV registration on the HTB resulted in an email where the link did not work.

    Apart from that, downloading a software upgrade seems complete, but now the status indicator is at 100% for over an hour.

    Even a service request on the web results in an error message. It seems I will have to call them to get in contact.

    I've the same problem (registration issue) on Smart TV 46PFL5507M: impossible to register online on the TV itself. The process ask to follow the instructions in the email received and to finish the registration online on the TV itself but it does not work : SmartTV systematicaly says something is missing in the process and proposes to do it later.

    I have the same problem on my 46PFL5007K.
    Is there any reaction from Philips??

    it would seem that Philips support software is completely absent.....
