    Horizontal lines on retina

    Hi All,

After changing of my motherboard on my 46pfl9707/s12 i sometimes experience a number of horizontal lines temporary burned on my retina.
I believe the pattern is generated by the ambilight led's while watching EPG or Smart-TV.
When looking away from the TV the lines are still there for a while. (eye adaption probably..)
Any idea how to solve this?

    Hi All,

I took a closer look at this problem. It is not from the ambilight, but from the screen.
It is superimposed on the smart-TV image.
The pattern (horizontal bars) is scrolling slowly from top to bottom and is only present when using smart TV.
Any suggestions how to slove this?

    Hi Bennes55,

Could you please confirm the current software version installed on your TV?

Are you experiencing this issue with any particular activity or app in SmartTV?

Is it possible for you to make a video of the issue?

    Best regards,
    Ina

    Hi Ina,

    Thanks for picking this up.
Attached you find the CMx summary of my TV.

In the 4th picture I tried to give an impression of effect i see. (can't make picture, to much aliasing affects with camera)
After watching the start-up screen of smart-tv or f.i. "nu.nl" for a while, i notice the bar-imprint in my eyes.
They not really lines but more a "luxaflex" (bar) pattern imprinted for say 2 minutes and slowly fading away.
If i look away from the TV they are still visible and very annoying.
The strange thing is that I think I am watching a normal image ( no noticable affects) while the pattern comes in.
Most of the time only the horizontal parallel lines to the TV but sometimes also the angled lines on the right side ( ambilight leds?)
I therefore think it is some light modulation faster than the eye can notice or other interferance pattern are causing this.
    (i'm sound and not drunk;-)
Very annoying. It occurs a number (say 4times for a couple of minutes) each evening.
This was not present with the Original motherboard, but after repair by Ecare.
    Any solution is welcome.

    Regards,
    Ben
