Red face HTS 5540/12 Delay when Digital In used

    Hello,

In the past I had a conversation with one of your chatworkers, a possible solution was given. Tried it out, didn't work and was so annoyed that i didn't do anything about the problem in the past 20 months.

I have connected a Philips HTS 5540/12 (2010) via Digital Coax to the computers souncard.

I connecter my Philips 42PFL5405 H/12 with a HDMI 1.4 cable to the computers videocard.

I was advised by supportworker to replace the 3m cable for a 1,5 m one. So I did, sadly it did not have any effect.

The sound has a delay of about 0,5 seconds to the video. It's not sync.
The tv has no functionality to send sound that comes in from hdmi through to the speakerset. At least not in 5.1 DTS or Dolby.

    What else can I try?

I used to have a Logitech Z-5500 with optical connection, this had no delay at all.

I'd Like to see some sense and simplicity with my two Philips products. !

Hi, If I understand correctly you have two cables from your computer, one to TV and one to HTS? What if you use the HDMI cable to connect to TV and the Digital Coax to connect from TV to HTS?

If he does this he won't be able to use the HTS alone with the comp. He will need to access the TV to be able to set the sound to the speakers.

    Have you tried this.....

Sadly this is only for when watching a dvd from the HCS. I never open that drive at all, everything goes through my computer.

    Thanks anyway !
