My model is Philip LED TV, 32' 3500 series, the DVD player has a composite cable with three connections at each end (yellow, white and red). I'm not sure whether it is the DVD problem or TV's picture setting goes wrong.

Have you ever tried using an HDMI (High Def)? How about other Cd's or Movies? on your TV try to do demo mode and see the quality if its good, if TV along is ok then its your dvd that has an issue. (TV Model Ex: 32PFL4007) Given model is incomplete.

Seems to be a bad connection...try another cable and conect carefully...if you dont know how to set uo the setting of the dvd just reset them to factory default and report back here for more assistance..
