How to use the Philips AV remote control app?
First you’ll need to go the App store or Android (scheduled to be released in April) where you can find the App by looking for ‘Philips AV Remote’. As soon as you have installed the App you can launch the AV remote App and it will instantly start searching for Philips AV products that are connected to your Wi-Fi network.
When any Philips AV products are found they will show up in the Devices screen from which you can select your preferred device. In this case we’ll go for the Philips Blu-ray player.
When the device is selected from the list it will display a simulation of the regular remote control in 3 screens. The controls have an identical appearance to the original remote control to keep it simple. You can swipe from left to right between the screens to give you all options.
So now you can start using your Smartphone to control your Blu-ray player. This tip is an introduction to Smartphone use, more tips on detailed functions will follow!

Looks nice, but as an owner Symbian phone (yeah, I know...), I would like to know if there is a remote app for a Windows based laptop?
(Didn't dare to ask for a Symbian version...)
Regards,
Chris

Looks really nice and useful, but from your other thread, I am afraid it will be available on BDs and a few other products: why do not you make available on TV sets too??? In particular on 2010 ones, where Jointspace is already fully available?
Do you really want to maje your Customers very angry?

Thank you Toengel, but unfortunately I don't have the iPhone, I have an Android phone, so I am afraid I won't find what I am looking for on itunes.apple.com

It would be so nice to program my own App for Android by using Jointspace and I already downloaded the SDK, the problem is the absolute lack of time...
Philips, why can't you do this? You already planned to do for other devices (also for 2011 TV sets, Toengel? I don't remember so...), would it be so hard to extend your App to 2010 TV sets too?Last edited by pistoiaa; 04-13-2011 at 03:55 PM. Reason: clarification by Toengel
