    Question 47PFL7108 3D not working?

    Hello:

I just installed my new 47PFL7108 and was trying to watch some 3D stuff. I've tried regular TV in 2D to 3D conversion and also Youtube videos in 3D. The TV warns me the content is in 3D with a little logo on the thop right, but I don't see anything special with the glasses on, it's just the image kind of shadowed / blurry (the same effect as when you watch 3D without the glasses on). Am I doing anything wrong? How can I test the 3D?

    Thank you.

    CarlosBricio,

Are you using the 3D glasses supplied with the TV?

Please ensure you are viewing the screen straight on and not from either side for the best experience.

If you are still not experiencing the 3D effect, please try to adjust the 3D settings:
Press 3D on your remote and select [Side by side] or [Top / bottom].

To change the 3D depth, press OPTIONS on your remote and select 3D depth. Try the various options here as well.

    Best regards,
    Ina

Thank you, Ina, I've followed your advice but nothing seems to help. I'm using the provided glasses, and it's not a problem of not seeing depth, I just see the same image with and without glasses (the funky interlaced/shadowed image). I've contacted customer support and have installed a new firmware as per their instructions, but the issue still persists. I'm waiting for them to provide some more instructions on how to proceed.

    Regards,
    Carlos

    Hi Carlos,

Is the 3D polarisation film still intact on your TV screen? You should be able to see the edge of the film when looking at the screen up close near the corners.

Perhaps try to take you 3D glasses with you to your retailer and check with one of their display models? Then you can see if it is the glasses that is the issue or your TV.

What is the serial number of your TV? You can find this on the back of the set.

    Best regards,

    Ina

I can see something on the corner, but I don't know if it's the film you are talking about. I'll try to test the glasses somewhere else, but most retailers around here have only active glasses / TVs on display. Is this the same 3D technology used on cinemas with passive 3D? If so, I've already tried some glasses from one of those with the same results.

I'll send the serial number through private message. Thank you!
