MKV / DTS-HD Master audio support

    Good afternoon,

is there any possibility to add support of DTS-HD MA sound for MKV container?
The Oppo BDP-103EU added this function via last firmware update, it would be nice to have this function in our Philips blu-ray 9700 player too.

    Thanks for reply!
    Good day

Good afternoon, and welcome to the forum! I would like to see the same as you. However the DTS sound profile is only available when playing commercial disc and is not available on USB media file playing. So there will unfortunately not be available in future software updates.

    Thanks for your reply!
The DTS sound profile isn't maybe available natively (decoding via BDP DACS), but via bitstream (HDMI main cable only) I'm able to stream signal (MKV from USB to BDP) to my receiver Yamaha Aventage 1020 and the DTS or DolbyDigital works flawlessly, but no DTS-HD MA sound, just a normal DTS 5.1

You should try the same, it works!
And for more you can simply switch the audio if there are two or more audio tracks in MKV container, briliant!

So I think it shouldn't be difficult to add support for DTS-HD MA in next firmware (via bitstream)....?
