    Thumbs up Experience thread - FW v000.171.049.000 (171.49) - for 7xx8 Series - 2013

    Hi,

    This thread is more for details and discussions.
    This FW is applicable to EU models only.

    IMPORTANT: After upgrading your TV, it is necessary to perform a "cold start". This means that, after the TV is running again (after the update), shut down the TV, wait 1 minute (till all components are shut down), and unplug the TV from the mains (pull power cord) for 2 minutes before starting again.

    Important:
    It will not be possible to downgrade to a previous software version (64.xx) after updating to version 171.49.

    • Enabling DTS for 7000/8000/9000
    • Wifi smart screen for Android devices (requires Philips MyRemote app)

    • Improvement stability behavior when starting up from HDMI source.
    • Live TXT subtitles from broadcast no longer shown during playback of a recording without
    • BBC iPlayer, video and radio program is functioning again.
    • Solution about sometimes no connection to Philips Smart TV portal during virgin installation.

    Great, but where to download..
    Support site for 7008 tv still shows the 64.018 als latest firmware.

    Installed the new firmware and works fine until now;
    - most functions are faster
    - smart tv works much better and has visible "mouse cursor"
    - experienced no delays/black screens with startup like we had before

    After update major problems? If you have the TV on 3D TV Setup goes about on black screen and can do nothing more. also at the personal setting is the TV on black screen.

    After the new update of 47pfl7008k_12_fus_nld. This problem is present.

    Soudfield70: I did a quick check on my TV but nothing like your probs here. Did you perform the update like described with switch off and plug out the power cable for 2 min?

    I have a nice guide how to do the update. This has now resulted in more problems in the long run because the TV stopped working on 3D and the personal setting such as: intense Word the screen totally black??? What can I do?

    We got the Netflix App with this update, thank you!
    However, it gets stuck at "are you a Netflix member?"
    For a short second you can answer you a answer no, and get to a "free trial" window before you are stuck. I already am a member, but can`t get to answer yes.
    I have tried both the English and the English(US) update, no difference.
    Removed the app and added it again, deleted app-memory under the Network settings.
    Tried the Netflix app commands with several up-up-down-down etc. buttonpushes, got that window up, but still not possible to "push" the onscreen buttons.

    I would appreciate a quick fix for this.

    Also tried by adding usb mouse and keyboard, still no help.
    In case you need this information, my location is Norway.

    We are aware that the Netflix app is currently not working with this software update, even though it is visible in SmartTV.
