    Guys,

As mentioned before: it is NOT possible to downgrade from a 171.xx to a 64.xx version. This has been prohibited, as it will lead to an unpredictable behaviour of the TV.

I got 2 issues that really bum me
    1. After the tv is off for x time you turn it on and there is blank screen, sound works menu works but nothing else... Even if you switch to othe hdmi ports, only if I turn it off wait 1 min and turn it back on I get picture... This really sucks
    2. The YouTube app made the tv crash, had to turn it on again, I used me iPhone to control it....

Look at the standby led, When blink hard the tv is not shutoff correctly, when you try to boot again there is no philips logo and the startup take long.
When the standby led is bright normal, means that the tv is shutoff correctly and will boot normal.
Try to play with device's that you have connect to the tv, example when i have my HTB, PS3 and mediaplayer connected to the tv, the tv can not handle it for some reason and will not shutoff correctly,
When remove the mediaplayer and PS3, then its ok, (Seems like HDMI CEC in not good implented)

Try this and let us know

I have this issue too. It's really annoying. I have a feeling it has to do with the Quick Start function. When I disable it the problem doesn't occur always and if it does I can usually fix it by turning the TV off and on with the remote.

But with Quick Start enabled and the problem occurs I usually need to disconnect the power from the TV to get it working again.

Well that sound like the problem - the led is bright red and no logo , I have a setalite box , Xbox, and a pc connected to the tv via 1.4 premium hdmi cables, now what do I need to do, remove all the hdmi cables every time???? That doesn't seems right....

Welll like i say, you can test it, see if the led become normal.
If yes, you have the answer and the DEVS from philips have something to do.

    Hi all,

Thank you very much for posting your feedback on the forum.

I would like to ask you all to please follow the below guide. This is to determine if some issues are possibly related and to collect info about HDMI connectivity.

I see some user in the Experience Threads are having issues with HDMI sources. But this would also be helpful for users who are experiencing other issues:

    1. Please make sure you have performed a "cold reboot" after the software was installed (remove power for 2 minutes and then restart device).

    2. Ensure all connected devices have the latest software as well.

    3. Please try to remove all external devices and reinstall your TV:
Home > [Setup] > [TV Settings] > [General settings] > [Reinstall TV].

Warning: a TV reinstallation will erase all existing HDD recordings.

Does the issue still occur after you have reinstalled the TV and without external devices connected?

If yes, please report the remaining issues in the Technical Thread (template) with a new post stating that you have reinstalled the TV and tested it without external devices connected:
    http://www.supportforum.philips.com/...x8-series-2013

Thank you very much in advance,
    Ina

All they say is "we are looking into the problems, thanks for your patience" meanwhile bringing out pointless buggy firmwares. Well, I'm getting a little short on patience. I'm sorry but getting a little angry on this. Payed €1900,- for a television with bugs.

Hate it when the babysitter tells me: "he, I think your fancy tv is broken, led lights are flickering, tv just turns off while watching a movie and when i try to acces the menu's my Nintendo Gameboy reacts faster"

Grr, philips, its getting time to roll out a decent firmware with fixes people are asking for. Whats the point of the experience threads???

What a disappointment knowing firmware 171.49 played all my m2ts and mkvs 3D 1080p flawlessly with DTS sound (via USB or DLNA over wifi), where latest version does not !

Come on, what happened in this .51 version: issues solved are not linked at all with media player ?!

I will roll back to previous firmware 171.49 for sure.
EDIT: downgrade to previous firmware does NOT solve the issue... Really strange

Philips, please please fix this media player issue quickly...
Have recorded video issues (with demo proposed at the end of TV installation wizard).

This is already the demo video just after TV factory reset (first) and re-install (second, without any external device connected to the TV, as asked by Philips).

Firmware 0.171.51.0 applied twice (same results).

no problems here after up and downgrade

looking at your movieclip looks like a SW problem,
    try this:

    Re-Download the .51 SW.
Format or use another USB Pen, and install, see if that work for you

    let us know
