is there a way to reflash this version again? it's so unstable i'm afraid the update didn't go too well although the tv told me it completed succesfully. i can't imagine philips would release a version this unstable. i hope by flashing a 2nd time it may complete and become more stable but it won't accept the same version for flashing.

    Hi Hbrug,

After the software update was completed, did you perform a "cold reboot" (remove power for 2 minutes and then restarting TV)?

You can check if the software was installed here:
Home > [Setup] > [Software settings] > [Current software info]

If it is the current software version, please try to remove all external devices and reinstall your TV. Are you still experiencing instability after a reinstallation and without external devices connected?

    Best regards,
    Ina

yes i did, and the current software info says it's the latest version so i think i'm good there.

i just did a factory reset and a reinstallation with just the cable attached for the tv channels. then inserted the hdmi and ci+ module. after setting up all custom configuration, i first noticed that all menus are faster and there's sound in the EPG again. going to test some more but first impressions are much better. if i dont come complaining here again, my issue is probably solved

    thanks!

    Hi OmerKadari,

Please try to remove all external devices and reinstall your TV:

Home > [Setup] > [TV Settings] > [General settings] > [Reinstall TV]

    W
arning: a TV reinstallation will erase all existing HDD recordings.

Does the issue still occur after you have reinstalled the TV and without external devices connected?

If yes, please report this in the Technical Feedback thread here:

    Hi!

Already did the reinstall TV. I have changed the HDMI of the TV that connect to the satilliate box from HDMI1 to HDMI4
and it's the same. I have also connected on HDMI2 a Tvix 6500 streamer and on HDMI3 xbox360 and LAN 1GB
connected. The problem that I noticed is that the qucikstart option is problematic in the firmware.
No matter what you type there disabled or not the TV is turning on fast and then no picture u can see the sources and then
when u move from one source to another u can see picture for 10 sec and then the TV reboots and you see the Philips logo
and everything is ok. Be aware that this problem occur only after couple of hours when the tv is of on standby.

    Hi all,

For users experiencing issues with "No text in EPG", please send me a PM with the following information:

    - Full TV model number

    - Serial number

    - Channel provider

    - Type of broadcast (cable, satellite, terrestrial, IP)

    - Does this occur in IP-EPG, Broadcast EPG or both?

    - If IP-EPG, please provide the Ethernet MAC address

    - Have you tried to reinstall the channels?

    - Any additional information relevant to the issue

To find the full model number, serial number and Ethernet MAC address:

In TV source enter 1 2 3 6 5 4 on the remote control to enter CSM.
    Use up/down arrows to navigate.
Exit using Return, Exit or Home button.

    Set type = model number
    Production code = Serial number

    Thank you all in advance!

    Best regards,
    Ina

    I experience these problems:

    Painfully slow in all menus.
Sometimes it just turns off (ie at the "smart TV" screen after a few seconds without interaction with the TV)
Sometimes the text in menus are a bit blurry.

Looking forward to the next FW update

    Hi Fatih,

You post has been moved to the Experience Thread as it was off topic in the Technical Thread.

The issue of "HDMI start up, no picture" is under investigation. I would at this point not advise a repair for this issue.

I thank you for your patience while we investigate the issue and find a solution.

    Best regards,
    Ina

    Hi,

Since this firmware update we encounter a small problem on a 42PFL7108. The TV touch on the remote control do not enable anymore to switch back from an HDMI or USB source to TV program.

PS : we also have a darker area on the upper side of the TV panel (10cm high, whole screen width). Could it be linked to a software issue or is this a panel defect ? Shall we contact Philips Technical Support ?
    Thanks.
