    NO IP-EPG on 22PFL4208K/12

IP-EPG doesn't work out on 22PFL4208K/12. Get error messages 400 or 500. HbbTV doesn't work as well.
Have installed latest software TPM1013E_002.021.000.001. Any ideas ?

    Best regards,

    Willi

Is TV connected to the internet? Smart TV works (e.g. youtube)?

There is a setting in the Menu of your TV to turn Hbb-TV On or Off. Please check if it is turned on.
HBB-TV does only work if the TV is tuned to a TV channel that supports Hbb-TV.
When you make use of a settop-box, than you might not have channels installed on your TV. Than it does not work.
When you make use of DVB-C, than it depends on your cable company if the HBB-TV signals are passed true.
On DVB-T, via direct receipt via antenna connected directly to the TV, the Hbb-TV should work in Netherlands or Germany.
On DVB-S, via direct receipt via satellite connected directly to the TV, (only for TV’s with build-in satellite tuner), the Hbb-TV should work in the Netherlands or Germany.

    Hello Mark,
SmartTV is okay, no IP-EPG and no HbbTV. Can't find any setting, help says that "Interactive TV" is always active. Am on the same satellite and channel than with my 40PFL9606K where HbbTV is working fine.

Can it be that you offer things that are not yet active due to limited firmware features of initial version?

    Thanks in advance.

    Best regards,

    Willi

So, you are making use of the Digital Satellite tuner in your TV, with the satellite dish directly connect to the TV. And your TV is connected to the internet, and IP connection is made to the Router. Smart TV is working. You have tuned to a digital channel, like ZDF-HD.
After a few seconds you should see a red button indicator on screen, indicating Hbb-TV availability.

    See User manual:
    Hbb-TV instructions on Page 21.
    Network connection on Page 58.
    IP-EPG installation on Page 16.

    Hi,

as written in the leaflet (data sheet), you need to wait for a firmware update (in the summer), which enables HbbTV.

    Missing IP-EPG on 22PFL4208K/12

    Hi Alex,

thanks for this hint. But i have read the leaflet now 3 times (version from 28.05.2013) and cannot find anything. I see a star behind Interactive TV/ HbbTV but no related information at the bottom of this page. What version of leaflet do you have as reference of this information.

Just got the information from Philips hotline that this TV does neither have IP-EPG nor HbbTV and they don't know anything about related firmware updates. Unbelievable, see topline of promotion, all TV shops:

    "Philips 22PFL4208K/12 56 cm (22 Zoll) LED-Backlight-Fernseher, EEK A (Full HD, 200Hz PMR, DVB-T/C/S2, CI+, WLAN, Smart TV, HbbTV) schwarz "

    Hi,

it was written in an older version of the data sheet, however, there wasn't a firmware release which added the HbbTV functionality...

    Willi,

Thanks for informing us. I did check with the developers, here is an update: your TV must have IP-EPG already, but the HbbTV feature will indeed be added later on via a SW upgrade (date not exactly known yet). Why IP-EPG is not working on your set must be further investigated.

    Regards,
    JuAn

    Hello Juan,

thanks for this update. Will check again in the evening. But up to now i get error messages 400 and/or 500 (a problem has been encountered ). I see the coloured background of the IP-EPG, as i am used to see it on my 40PFL9606K, very short but without any content and then i get the error message. Server problem ?

    Best regards,

    Willi

    Hi Willi,

I remember this error 500 from the past. Maybe you could try this first: http://www.supportforum.philips.com/...ll=1#post13060?

    Hello JuAn,

ist unbelievable but your hint worked out for me as well but with a slight modification:

    - my standard is DVB-S (i waited for the small TV to have a SAT-tuner inside)
    - thus i did it between DVB-S and DVB-C (instead of DVB-C and DVB-T)
    - switched to DVB-C
    - updated channel list
    - IP-EPG works out now here !!!
    - switched back to DVB-S
    - checked IP-EPG and still saw "error 500"
    - updated channel list now here on SAT
    - IP-EPG works out now on SAT also !!!

Great hint to work arround some software bottlenecks.

    Thanks !

    Best regards,

    Willi
