    MKV support?

What is wrong with the BDP5600's (and possibly other models') MKV support?

    • Media crashes if fast forward or rewind is done with value higher than 4!
    • There's no chapter support or time search option.
    • No subtitle support.
    • The OSD time played/remaining is buggy (the player's display shows the correct time though.)

Is this a issue with all mkv-files or just some? I believe most mkv-files have limitation due to licencing rights….

Well, at least it's an issue with all the MKV files I've tested.

Yes, sadly the same from USB.

And no, the issues mentioned above are the best I can get using Serviio.

    Dear MidnightManiac,

Is it possible for you to send the or those files you’ve tested in you player? Recommendable to upload to i.e. Wetransfer or similar service and send me the link, in a private message, and I will look in to this matter for you.

    Kind Regards,

    Marcus

I use mkclean to fix the above issues.
    e.g.: "mkclean.exe --no-optimize --keep-cues file.mkv fixedfile.mkv"

Unfortunately still no support for SUP subtitles. Also, it would have been nice to have support for FLAC audio within an MKV container.

Thanks, but I would prefer not having to do further processing of MKV files.

Also, if you run the official "Matroska Test Suite", which is designed to give you an idea of the player's compatibility, it fails on most parameters.
