    Angry BDP5100/12 - Won't play several discs

I have bought the following Blu-rays which the BDP5100/12 won't play - just give an "Unrecognised disk" error. All genuine & shrink-wrapped from reputable sources, not knock-off copies. This makes 3 of the last 10 disks that I have brought that fail.

    - X-Men First Class (EAN: 5039036048361)
    - Cape Fear (same problem with 2 disks rented from LoveFilm, EAN not available)
    - Skyfall (EAN: 5039036058315)

Version: 1.62 (latest on the website)

What can I do? I am taking a risk every time I buy a new disk that it won't work, and there doesn't seem to be any way to rectify this.

You’re not the only one have to have this issue. It happens to all manufactures from time to time. Its more than likely nothing wrong with your player, just new software that’s is needed.

    hi pmsummer,

I want to understand more on your case. Do you mean you have some disc which used to work and now suddenly have a unknown disc issue?

If that's so, I suspect it's not the issue with the disc but your loader. You may have to contact your local service centre for help.

    Kind regards,
