    55pfl8007K blocked during recording

When I record something on a USB harddisk, you can watch the same program, or you can switch off the TV.
I often record things from DVB-C source. As the DVB-S is also connected and running (free satellite programs), I would expect I can see a program from DVB-S source while DVB-C is recording. This TV has 2 tuners, so by hardware it must be possible.
Also Net TV and DNLA don't work while recording. The TV says in that situation: Please first press STOP.

    How can this be solved?

    Grts,
    Gert from Belgium

    Hi,

this cannot be changed - it's the "design" of the TV...

    @Raverke95
Philip's TVs can give only good picture + ambilight of course
~10 year old linux setup boxes can more in PVR field
to have functionality chose external box, current top from my point of view:
    1. GigaBlue HD800 QUAD - 2x onboard DVB-S2 + 2x free slots for plug&play DVB-T/C; 1.3Ghz processor(have installed for friend)
    2. VU+DUO2 - 2x plug&play DVB-S2 + 1x free slot for plug&play DVB-T/C; 1.3Ghz processor(havent touch by self, good reviews)
    3. Dreambox dm8000 - 2x onboard DVB-S2 + 2x free slots for plug&play DVB-T/C(have by self for five years, little outdated cause DVI can't provide HDMI-CEC commands and processor just 400Mhz Dualcore)
    4. Dreambox dm7020hd - 1x plug&play DVB-S2 + 1x plug&play DVB-T/C; 400Mhz
    5. VU+SOLO2
    6. Dreambox dm800se

up to 8 services can be use in parallel for Main picture / PiP / Recording*x / streaming to any network device*x
by condition: free tuner is present or service provided on same transponder which already in use

    It's a pity it can't be solved by eg a software-update.
Since our Belgian cable provider started finally after 10 years with the distribution of CI+ modules recording possibilities on our Philips tv's could be very useful, also in Belgium now.

I also tested it on a Panasonic set and my wishes work fine there.

    @ MartiniB

I've had a Panasonic 55" plasma for 2 years, but before I've always had Philips tv's, even during the CRT age. I've sold the Panasonic again, because I dislike the picture quality of Panasonic. I know, it's personal.
The Philips gives me all I want: Ambilight, very good sound and picture quality and I also like the features on the Smart tv portal.

I'm also a satellite tv watcher. I own a Vu+ Ultimo with 3 DVB-S tuners. In my home network a Vu+Duo on my office and a Vu+Uno in my sleeping room (for streaming applications)
The possibilities of these kind of Linux receivers are endless, I know.

This is the reason I will never make a point of the restricted recording possibilities of the Philips. But it would have been nice.
