40PFL9715 and 46PFL9715 will be released as intermediate models
Hi,
Philips will be releasing two intermediate models of the 9000 series: 40PFL9715 and 46PFL9715.
As far as I know the new 9000 series (xxPFL9xx6x/xx) are planned for autumn 2011. These two models should fill the gap between the 2010 and 2011 release.
Also they should have some features from the 2011 series. Also the new remote control.
Interesting is, that the Product Spread Sheet states a "Now + Next EPG" as feature!
You can find some pictures and information here: http://58pfl9955.wordpress.com/2011/...ckungsmodelle/

If they do so, they:
a) Admit that the 9705 series has at least one hardware flaw, that try to cover with an "intermediate" model.
b) They make fun of their customers, if the "now/next feature" is not added to 9705, but gets added to 9715.

Hi,
I took a look at the actual 9705 Product Spread Sheet - and there is also written Now/Next - but it is implemented by using the option button... so it is no special feature of 9715...

Hi,
I think only a few of the new software features will be implemented in the 9715...
But if they also provide them for the 9705, why releasing the 9715? So, some difference have to be there...

Hi,
as far as I know the release of the 9000 series is planned for september 2011... so they need an interim solution...
Toengel@Alex

Or are there "Smart" features planned for it... and hopefully for the 9705 as well... that aren't in the spec sheet yet?...
