    Track order from mp3 Tag - SA5AZU8KF/12

    Hello,
as there isn't any forum for the new GoGear SA5 players, my question goes here.

I've got new SA5AZU8KF/12 mp4 player and my question is simple: is it really possible it couldn't sort the mp3 songs of CD in the proper sequence from the first to the last song by track number from mp3 tag??? I've found it sorts the songs from a CD not by track number but by name (from mp3 TAG) and there isn't any setting I could change to do it otherwise. It's really annoying, I use to listen to the whole CD as it were recorded (try to listen Pink Floyd's The Wall out of order - there are the songs connected from one to another - and this is only one example).

The only workaround I've found is to place to the mp3 tag before song name its track number (ie. 01 Name abc, 02 Name def, etc.), but this isn't really the best solution for me. I have mp3 for music listening and not for playing with names of song constantly.

Please, tell me there is some solution. If there isn't any, I think this is very necessary to do sorting in some new firmware (btw. I have firmware 1.10).

    Hey Libor 256,

Unfortunately I'm not familiar with the new models yet, but with the older ones, you could edit the metadata and change the names of the songs, as they used to be played in alphabetical order...Maybe you could try doing the same? Namely, editting metadata and changing the names of songs?

    Good luck!

    Cheers,
    WW

    Hello Will,
thanks for your answer. I expect the older models probably works the same (I couldn't imagine they do it right in older firmwares and not in the new). Maybe we both talks about the same thing: I've found if I rename mp3 tag (name of the song) so that it starts with number (for example 01 Hair Of The Dog; 02 Miss Misery, 03 Guilty, etc. etc.) it works ok and played how expected. And yes I did it to be able to play the whole record(s) in the right songs order.
On the other side it's ridiculous to do this everytime with every record I want to move to player and not be able to change this in player setting (there could be some sort setting - by track number or by name). The player isn't so cheap to be so dumb and not to have such "ordinary" setting. In fact I'm almost speechles this doesn't work as expected (among sane people).

    Thanks and greetings.
    Libor.
