    BDP2105 screen settings?

    Hi there!

Just wondering if anyone else is having this same issue. No matter how many times I adjust the screen settings on both my tv and blu ray bdp 2105 to that of 4:3, the blu ray homepage and netflix still show as 16:9 widescreen which sucks cause it's cuts off on my 40in tv... any advice so I can see everything on the screen and actually use netflix??

    Thanks!

    lma

Hi Ima, welcome to the forum. I would believe that if the source, the film in this case is in 16:9 format, the player would send “a 16:9 signal” just to get the best viewing experience. However you should be able to change format on your TV anyway. I suggest you put the setting on “auto” and then changing format on you TV.

    Thanks for the info Teddy!

Sadly there is no "auto" setting on the blu ray. It only gives me options for a 4:3 letterbox, 4:3 panscan, 16:9 widescreen and 16:9. I've tried changing it to both 4:3 and changing my tv setting to the same but although my tv picture does change to that of 4:3, once I turn the blu ray on (and it's already on 4:3 letterbox or 4:3 panscan) it still shows as 16:9 wide screen which cuts off... this is starting to get frustrating!!
