Your experiences with FW v0.140.34.0 for 8000 and 9000 series (2010 models)
Hi,
please share your experiences with this new SW version here in this topic. Channeling your input will make it easier for users to search and find relevant info.
Discuss here all your experiences when upgraded to the new version: new, old, positive, negative.... (e.g. the "black screens during zapping" problem is solved!).

Where did you find this file? Can you please give a link? I only find version 32 on the Philips site.
Hope this one finally solves the sound drop problem...
EDIT: found it. I went to the product webpages but those still show the 32 version. I'll share my experiences here!Last edited by DaveR; 04-11-2011 at 06:11 PM.

It is online, at least in the Greek pages. What is it supposed to fix?
There is no change log...

The first impression: the app "dayly motion" stopped working. It says that requires features not available in my 9705 tv...
Well, we had 5-6 services, now we have one less...

@Nettle
why are you not trying the new firmware by yourself?

Hi,
no changelog available at the moment - it takes some time (even the changelog for 140.32 isn't available at the moment).

Ok, I'm trying to understand real hard. They, Philips, release a new SW-version. Of course they work according to all kind of quality systems. It cann't be there is no list of changes. So they work hard on it and then publicing the changelog takes time.....I try....I try....Sorry I don't get that.
Review:
I just installed the new SW. First impression OK.
I noticed 3 issues:
1) After returning from TEXT to TV there still is a very short to very very short sound drop, depending on the channel I take.
2) Changes to a channel with a James Bond movie sound dissapeard completely. Must have been a joke of "Q". Had to go to another channel and got sound. Went back to James B. and still got sound. Strange thing that happend also with earlier SW-versions.
3) Like in older SW's there are to strong differences in volume level between channels. But I don't know if this is a SW-issue.
I have a 32PFL9705/H12

Philips will write it when customers have tested the fixes that really work
