    Natural Motion (46PFL8008)

    Hey all,

I hope to get some clear advise on the natural motion setting on my tv. The thing is, i love this option. Just on 'low' settings, everything moves way more smooth...

    BUT....

While using this function, the picture gets spoiled with this annoying effect on the edges of things while the background moves (channel logos. subtitles, tight lines in picture etc.). Does this effect has a name? Is this ghosting?

Well, first question. Is this effect normal? Is it related to the, i'm sorry to say, buggy firmwares? or is my tv broke?
Second question, can you guys give me some advise in which settings will reduce the effect?

Really hope getting some good answers, thanks in advance!

    Gr, Mark

    Hi Mark,

The effect you see at the egde of things when Natural Motion is on, is referred to as 'flickering' or 'judder'. This is normal behaviour and is simply a side effect of Natural Motion.

Turning off Natural Motion (or set it to low, but you have already done this) is the only way to reduce the effect.

Also see this extensive post by JuAn regarding this here:

    Best regards,
