    Hi Toengel
You right, When the beamer is on HDMI, the output is always multichannel from SACD, no matter what settings.
I didnt notice that firt beacuse I dont have the picture turned on when I listen to music.
Another thing is when I switched on the beamer it started sending out music on L-R analog output as well. ( I have Composite + L +R to my TV)

So to make SACD 2ch DSD to work the tv/projector or hdmi device need to be in standby or unplugged.

( I edited my first input so It doesnt make confusions when reading the thread)

    Hi,

so - we can declare it as bug:

When HDMI-MAIN is connected and "on", SACD is always Multichannel - even if DSD-Stereo is selected.

    Dear users,

Sorry for the confusion. The new firmware is 3.92 instead of 3.97.

We are looking into the behaviors of analogue outputs when playing SACD. We will update you later on this.

    Kind regards,

    As for the benefit of:
    • Allows FLAC files to be streamed over DLNA*,

the * refer to the below note:
*note: some media servers do not support FLAC, please check your media server compatibility.

How long should it take before the update is visible? I still can't find the update on air or on the site

9700/98 still has 3.97 as filename. Still has 3.97 in the release note.

    v3.92 works great.

Like to check if it is possible to include digital attenuation (volume control) in future firmware?
The DAC chip has the capability, and with digital volume, we can connect the bdp9700 directly to power amps without going thru a preamp. The remote also has the volume buttons.

    for your kind consideration,
    Chris

    Hi QK,

just a quick question: Seem you guys made some progress in fixing the most annoying bugs, but there are still some left (SACD track restart, when switching the TV set on/off). Is there a list, or should we create a new one for the remaining issues? What about proposed improvements? You might remember the list I've started a couple o months ago.

    TIA
    Gerhard

    Dear Gerhard,

Your list made before has been consolidated to our file. So they are not forgotten. I cannot grantee that every points made here in the list will be realized by firmware. However, I can assure you that the team will look into that.

If you have more to add, just feel free to add under every release note thread like this one. That makes my consolidation easier.

    Kind regards,

    Hi,

yesterday I tried Skype again (since several weeks)... and I must say, I'm disappointed...

The BDP9700 froze (stuck) - only pulling the power cord helped. I didn't received video or audio from the calling person. Also when shutdown the player, the BDP stucked at "Standby" in the display - again only pulling power cord solved that. On the PC side, the latest Skype version was installed 6.7.0.102.

    No fun at all...

    Dear QK,

Playing around Smart TV with this new firmware, I added "Tunein Radio" App and started to play the first programme fine, but I could not stop it and played other programmes in other channel. What I could do was selecting Home button and restarting the Smart TV again! The highlight function would suddenly disappear when browsing the second or third pages in the programme list. I wish the bugs could be fixed on next firmware updates as the Tunein Radio App worked fine before version 3.4.

    Thanks,

    BDP9700 User

hi all....i got my 9700 from july...but ive many problem with purple or green picture at start...with 3.85 problem was when i turn-off my BDP...with 3.92 it appear sometimes at start...the only way is disconnect power. BDP show "home" on display, but all purple or green on TV. Please Fix it.

    Suggestion is:

    1) Function to show Audio and Video bit rate.
    2) Show "loading..." when i go play video file like mkv or AVCHD ( now nothing appear on display..i just need wait time before it start..and AVCHD start in 35 seconds, with no info during)
    3) Fastest load of AVCHD file.
