Red face Newby questions: DLNA Devices

    Hi there,

I just bought the AW5000 and the sound is amazing! No comparison to Sonos stuff
I use it with Spotify and TuneIn (Android-based).

Nevertheless I've got a couple of questions left:

    1. Can I use other manufacturers DLNA speakers and controll them with the airstudio+ app? -> the app is not as bad as its image.

    2. Can I use a usual DLNA streaming adapter, e.g. this one to add my existing AVR to the network? Instead of the AW1000.

    3. If I buy a second A5 for the bedroom, can I playback spotify simultaneously on both speakers?

Thanks a lot for your help.

    Best regards

    Pivo

    Hello,

    1. Short answer is no. You may try to control other DLNA sepakers with AirStudio+ app but we do not guarantee compatibility.

    2. For this question you need to contact MEDION support.

    3. No, it is not possible. You need to log in to Spotify on both devices and start music separately from both devices, the music playback is not synchronised.

    Kind regards,

    1) try out the free version of bubble UPnP for dlna is far superior to airstudio. But I'm also of the opinion that airstudio is only useful for installing firmware upgrades...

    3) I'm not aware of Spotify's current usage limitations, but it has at least been the case that you could only play from one device at a time, so you would need to pay for two spotify accounts to play on two A5s simultaneously. And then there is the issue with synchronization.
