subtitle (& the simpsons) white outline or halo issues

    Hello,

I own a 46PFL4508. I live in the netherlands, and most foreign broadcast are subtitled here. The subtitles are white with a black outline, but on a dark background there is u thine white line outside the black outline (sort of a halo effect).
I was watching a broadcast of "the simpsons" and the black lines in that show have the same white outline or halo. Are therre more owners out there with the same issue?

I recently discovered a fix for the outline/halo problem. When I put the tv on the "computer mode", the outline/halo are gone. But unfortunately the black is not very dark/black in the "computer mode".

So I want to know how to fix this....

    Regards,
    Laurens

    Hey Maddox,

You have natural motion on? Turn this one off and there's a big chance that your issue is dealt with.

    Hallo Mark,

I don't know if the natuaral motion is on. I don't even know if this feature is present on this model... From the philips website it has this specs: Beeldverbetering: Pixel Plus HD, 200 Hz Perfect Motion Rate, Micro Dimming

So where can I find the natural motion setting? I will have a look this evening, when I'm at home.

    Hi Laurens,

Your TV does not feature Natural Motion although that would have been a good suggestion if it had.

Since the image improves when you enable Computer mode, I would suggest that you try to reset the picture (and sound) settings on your TV, as it appears to be a picture setting that might be turned up a little high:

HOME > [Setup] > [TV settings] > [General settings] > [Factory settings], then press
    OK.
    Select [Reset], then press OK.

    Best regards,
    Ina
