tv position setting, whats the difference difference really?

    Hello

I have a Philips 39PFL3807T and it has 2 settings under tv position both "wall mounted" and " on a stand".
I would like to know what the differences are to the TV as I can have both positions, does it alter the sound for example?
    Thankyou.

    Hi MCMLXXIII,

When the TV is wall mounted the option would change the sound to adjust to the acoustics and resonance of the wall itself. Vice versa the "On a stand" option is intended to project the sound differently to suit this type of acoustic environment better.

The specifics of how the TV changes the sound I do not have at hand, but I would advise you to play around with the sound options and find the settings you personally prefer.

    Best regards,
    Ina

    Thanks.

Has anybody out there tested the difference?
    I can't hear a change.
    Thankyou.
Btw incredible surround muffles everything. Turn it off.

    Hello

I would suggest setting it to standard default and applying the setting that its wall mounted ( whether it is on the wall or not).
    Definitely better sound this way.
