    WIFI iphone Connect

    Hi,
I have a new philips TV 6158. I want to connect the Tv with my laptop (it is a Mac OSX vs 10.7.5) or my iPhone5. I saw the TV in the wifi menu of my laptop or iPhone but when I try to connect with this wifi from the TV they ask me a password. It is possible to connect the Tv with the iPhone?

    Regards

    Cecilia

    Hi Cecilia,

It is not possible to connect your laptop or any other wifi enabled device directly to your TVs wifi "hotspot". The reason for this is that the "hotspot" you see on your laptop is generated by your TVs MiraCast feature and is not a traditional wifi hotspot.

For help on how to stream from your wifi devices to your TV, please give us more info on what you would like to achieve and how, just as Toengel also suggested.

    Best regards,
    Ina

    Hello Ceciliacn,

For your Iphone, you will have to download the "Philips MyRemote" app from the appstore.
The iphone and the TV have to be on the same network (Wi-Fi or LAN).

For you laptop, you can use DLNA serveur (for Windows or mac) as servioo, twonky media server...

    Good luck
