    No 3D signal on 46pfl4508h/12 ?

I got two Pta508 3D-glasses today but they don't seem to work.
Is it possible that they don't receive a 3D signal? From where comes this signal ?
The glasses do work sometimes, for example, they start working when i leave them on the coffee tabel infront of the tv for 10 minutes. But somehow i don't believe that this is how its supposed to work.

Can someone help me with this ? Every site that i have seen says that the glasses are compatible with my tv.

    Thanks

Can someone at least confirm that the glasses that I bought should work on this tv?

PTA508 on the 46pfl4508h/12. Or should i get the PTA518 glasses? I'm afraid to buy them now..

    Hi,

PTA508 should work - did you installed the latest firmware (see support website of your TV and compare with the software information on your TV)?

I downloaded and installed the latest software update yesterday.

This is the version that I have :

    TPM1013E_003.000.000.001

    PQ : pq v0.34 2013/07/08
    AQ : AQ v1.08 130521
    Netflix 3.2.2-release-1539680

I don't know about the PQ,AQ and Netflix but the main update at the top is positively the latest update available.
Should I do something special to activate the signal , or am I using it wrong ? I notice two red dots that light up at the bottom of the tv when I activate the 3D, I gues that this is the IR signal. But even when i put the glasses right infront of the tv they don't seem to pick it up. Nothing happens. Just sometimes they pick the signal up, but that's after 10 to 20 minutes into the movie. And that doesn't mean that they both pick it up, most of the time just one of the glasses.

I do hope that you can find a solution for me.

I just found something. I think that it is a bug in the software.
The glasses switch immediatly on when I go to the gaming for two option, if I then turn this mode off and quickly go to the 3D options then the glasses will stay on the signal. If I do this too slow then they switch off again.

The glasses wont switch on when I open the 3D option in the 3D menu, only when I go through the gaming menu.

Is there a solution? is it a common problem ? Or is it something that can be fixed with a future software update ?

    Hi,

when you switch you TV to 3D so you see the both images in parallel (without your glasses on)?

I heard, that some of the PTA508 are not working well...

I indeed see the screen in parralel without the glasses on when I switch it to 3D.
The glasses just don't pick it up, but when I switch the tv into the split screen gaming mode they work instantly. So if I then switch gaming mode off, and switch 3D mode on (very fast) then they will pick it up. This way we can see 3D movies.. But it isn't really fun.

So you believe that the problem could be the glasses ?

    Hi Kevinseghers,

I would advise you to contact your local customer support for assistance with this issue:

    http://www.support.philips.com/suppo..._selector.jsp?
Select your country and preferred language, then Contact.

If you still have the original packaging for the 3D glasses, please have this at hand when you take contact.

    Best regards,
    Ina
