I suppose from official support you never get older FW to download

so far, to be on safe side, it is better recommended to download FW to pc by "update.htm" file (added in my link), what could be generated by TV to USB stick.
Then on each new release you could download and save each version FW, so in case of problems you can downgrade (I suppose official support will say it is not possible, but and least older tv's was able to do that).

here firmware's (starting with QF2EU-0.173.42.0), what I saved to my pc:

    ***moderated***

also I found another web link:

    Hi all,

This is mainly a user to user support forum. If you require immidiate assistance, please contact your local customer service team:

    http://www.support.philips.com/suppo..._selector.jsp?
Select your country and preferred language, then Contact.

Please be aware that performing any kind of downgrade of firmware on your TVs is to be done at your own risk.

Downgrading of software is recommended to only be performed by authorised service technicians, due to the risk of irreversible effects.

Downgrading could also in some circumstances void the warranty of your TV.

All links to previous software versions will be moderated or removed from posts in the Philips forum for this reason.

    Best regards,
    Ina

    In my opinion,
this is a forum where FREE BETA TESTERS (your customers) feed devs.
    Ridicolous.
