    light brown spot

I have a philips 42pfl3603/f7. I had 2 years now. I just noticed a light brown spot at the top of screen. The spot is pretty light still and the size of a pencil eraser. Just trying to figure out if it going to get worse. The wife hit that part of the tv with a wii remote. It hit it off of the screen a couple of weeks ago. That's all the info I have. The has been great for the last 2 years. Thanks for any help

    Can you post a photo?

Do you see normal colours changing (the pixels) below the spot?
If yes, it may stay as it is. If no, it may get worse.

It all depends if the upper plastic cover of the LCD panel has cracked or not. If it has, and air gets in, the panel will go bad, as the spot will start to grow. If the plastic has be deformed, but it hasn't cracked, the spot will remain as it is now.

If a couple of weeks have passed, and has stayed the same, it probably will remain the same and will not get worse. I would avoid cleaning/pressing the spot...
