    mkv/srt: subtitle does not show

    Hi there,

I just bought a 22PFL4208H and it looks and plays great. Since it has so many features and options I actually downloaded and read (I know, unbelievable right?) the user manual. I was happy to read (page 78, Dutch manual, 'Ondersteunende indeling voor ondertiteling') that mkv/srt is supported. I have mkv and srt files in a folder on my pc which can be played flawlessly on the Philips, but unfortunately the subtitle does not appear. In the manual it says 'Yes' with USB and Mediaserver and I assume my PC is the mediaserver. Will test it by copying a mkv file with a srt file to a usb device to see if that works.

Just wanted to know if I have forgotten something.

    Thanks!

    Hi Marcel,

MKV/SRT means that the SRT need to be hardcoded into the MKV video file (embedded in the MKV container) to work over MediaServer.

SRT files as separate files are not supported for playback from Media Servers (listed first under Supported subtitle formats), only via USB.

    Best regards,
    Ina
