Hello Hans. I did not have the firmware 000.140.046 so i tried the version 045 which i had. But that didn't work. After contacting Philips they explained the problem and asked me to go back to version 034. Which I could download now from the internet. After installing version 034 NetTV was available again and still working after upgrading to 048. So problem solved and you did point in the right direction. Thanks for your reply.

    Thanks for the link.
Unfortunately the process described does not fit my TV!
In step 1 I downloaded Q5551-0.140.34.0, unzipped it and stored it on the USB stick in the folder "upgrades" as described. I checked that the folder really contained the autorun.upg file.
Then step 2. I switched on the TV, inserted the stick in the USB connector. I pressed "home" on the remote and selected "configuratie"(I assume that is the same as "set-up". Then: "software updates". Then I get the choice USB or Internet. When I choose "Internet" I get the message that my software does not need to be updated. When I choose "USB" I am asked to put a USB stick in the TV, en when I select "Klaar" it writes an identification "update.htm" on the stick. Then I have to put the stick in my computer and double click on "update.htm". I then get a page informing me that the identification of my TV is now on the stick and I should select "id versturen". When i do this I get the message "there is currently no download available. Go to the Philips support pages. This brings me back to the download page for my TV set with the newest downloads, and the circle is complete without any solution!!

In some cases the file autorun.upg is not recognised.
    Rename the "autorun.upg" to "software.upg".
Make sure there's no file named "autorun.upg" on the USB stick.
Try if the upgrade procedure now shows the "software.upg".

I solved the problem and Net-TV works again. I made a stupid mistake in the translation from English to the Dutch on my TV. Instead of selecting "software instellingen" I selected "software bijwerken" because that seemed logical to me. Therefor I could not find the "local update". With the correct selection everything went as described and Net-TV works again. I hope for a long time. Thanks everybody!

I Tried everything written above ; trying to downgrade the software and upgrading it again to get NetTV working.
My television 40PFL9705H does not see the autorun.upg or software.upg in the folder upgrades.
What can I do next ?

    Hello,

I have a PFL8404 TV (purchased in 2009), and NetTV is also not working since about the Nov 2013 date. There appears to be no new software for my TV in the list below. Could you please advise how to restore the NeTV service?

    Thanks.

Subtract the “Upgrade.UPG” file and put it on an empty USB stick.
Insert the USB stick in the TV and turn the TV on.

    Hello,

I have a 47PFL8404 TV purchased in 2010, and since about that November 2013 date my NetTV also stopped working. IP connectivity is fine.
The software updates listed here appear not to cover my model. Could you please advise how to restore NetTV on my TV, or perhaps fix the NetTV server accordingly?

    Thanks

    Hi,

    - try to delete NetTV memory first
    - then shut down TV
    - restart Internet Router
    - start TV again
